I knew Edmonton has discontinued using their old name, and given the reason why, I can support that. Good that they chose "Elks" - they can keep the "EE" helmets and logotypes.
Heck, I still hadn't gotten used to the Redblacks, even after they won the Cup - which is weird enough just with "Ottawa" and "Cup" in the same sentence.
That's one I don't particularly like. Rough Riders was good and had history behind it, even though Saskatchewan used a variation. (I don't see anybody complaining about the SEC here in the States, with three teams named "Tigers" and two named "Bulldogs"...out of 14 teams...) I didn't even mind Renegades. Redblacks is just boring...
Yeah, they're certainly reverting to form - no doubt.
I haven't followed the League in so long, but I do have the great story...when Baltimore won the Cup in 1995, Mike Pringle raised it to the crowd just after getting off the bus in Baltimore's Inner Harbor. If you can find a picture of that moment, take a good look - I'm standing next to him. :-)
